More coming soon!
We’re Rachel Wojcicki (That’s So Fetch Training) and Sarah Kosar (Meatball Motel). Together we are PUP IN THE CITY.
Sarah and Rachel are about to become you and your dogs best friends.
They are qualified dog behaviour and relationships experts who help humans and dogs understand each other, thrive in the city and have lots of fun together. From recall to reactivity, they can help solve the tricky issues you and your dog need the most.
We will teach you and your dog how to be a calm and cool team navigating the city together. With our top tips, tricks and science based methodology, you’ll understand the dog in front of you.
All of our work is led by compassion, play and force-free training. We offer group training classes, as well as 1:1 training packages through our individual companies, That’s So Fetch Training and Meatball Motel.
Sarah has had a career focused on behaviour within the arts, business and now dogs. She is motivated by understanding why animals do what they do. Her dog is Meatball, a three year old Pomeranian.
With a background in sculpting, Rachel has gone from creating forms in clay to helping mould fun, communicative connections between dogs and their humans. They run Pup in the City together where they offer consulting work, classes, workshops and more. Peach is Rachel’s dog and she is a spitz and king charles cavalier cross.
We are reward based trainers who put science, safety and empathy at the forefront of our work. We are constantly learning from the many dogs we work with and staying up to date on the latest developments in the field of dog behaviour and training. We are both qualified by Dog Training College.
Pup in the City is a collaboration between certified dog trainers, Rachel Wojcicki (That’s So fetch) and Sarah Kosar (Meatball Motel). They each offer 1:1 sessions and in their respective businesses.
About us
Group Classes
Beginner
The puppy course for all your foundational training and understanding to set your dog up for the best life.
There's a reason it's our most popular course! Taught by two qualified trainers in a small group, this four week course will equip you with the fundamental knowledge and training you need to thrive in the city with your dog. From topics such as enrichment and park etiquette to learning all the cues you need to navigate the city together.
We'll give you an insight into how our dogs communicate to us with their body language, how to pick up on stress signals and navigating the many environments you'll visit together in London and beyond. We've designed this course to be accessible, fun and a bond super-charger for Hackney pups.
THIS IS RIGHT FOR YOU IF:
You are both new to training
You have a puppy or dog under 2 years old
You want to teach your dog the basics to thrive in the city from loose lead walking, recall, wait, stay, drop and much more
You are looking for a small group with 1:1 attention and encouraging support
*If your dog is reactive or has a history of biting, please do get in touch directly and we'll let you know where the best place to start with your dog is.
All Pup in the City classes are run at an indoor venue in London Fields.
Out and About
The adolescent and young dog course for focus, recall and being with other dogs.
Being outside can be very distracting, overstimulating and anxiety inducing. In this course we look at all the challenges we might face outside and proof our training in real-world situations.
In a maximum group of four dogs, we tailor the curriculum to your individual struggles - from recall in the park to settling in a cafe to barking at motorcycles, we will help solve your day to day challenges.
THIS IS RIGHT FOR YOU IF:
You are struggling to get focus from your dog outside
Your dog is lunging and barking at people or dogs
Your dog is in adolescence and it seems like they've forgotten everything!
You're not sure what to do on a walk
Your dog struggles to be around joggers/skateboards
Your dog knows a few things but you want to make their cues stronger
*If your dog is reactive or has a history of biting, please do get in touch directly and we'll let you know where the best place to start with your dog is, whether that's a group class or a 1:1 session with Rachel or Sarah.
One off workshops
One off workshops in small groups to help you with a specific subject. Look out for upcoming dates for some of our most popular ones: recall, tricks, loose lead walking and more.
Meet some of our Pup in the City graduates
Wow, look at that Whippet's recall over there!
I know.
Did you see that poodle puppy settling at the pub?
Yep.
And that beagle's loose lead walking on broadway market?
Yeah, they're all Pup in the City grads.
